Kentucky was not a fast population to take on cell phone technology as a regular part of their daily lives, starting with a relatively low number of cell phone subscribers when compared to the rest of the states. However, over the last six years, cell phone use has picked up dramatically in Kentucky, and has become a part of “the usual” in that state.

In the year 2000, when Kentucky’s population was 4,041,769 according to the US census of that year, there were only 999,544 cell phone subscribers; a measly 24 percent of the population. This, at a time when the majority of the rest of the states generally had cell phone service subscriptions from over 30 percent of their populations.

However, by the year 2006, the population rose by 4.1 percent to 4,206,074, and the cell phone subscriptions rose by a tremendous 64 percent to 2,807,061 cell phone subscribers. This brings Kentucky’s population well into the “cell phone age” along with the rest of the states, as cell phone service subscribers now make up 67 percent of the Kentucky population.

The largest contributors to the number of cell phone subscribers come from Kentucky’s three largest cities, Louisville, Lexington, and Owensboro. With their comparatively large populations next to the other towns and cities of the state, they total the largest percentage of the mobile phone service subscribers throughout Kentucky.

This indicates that cell phones have become an important part of the culture of Kentucky. Not only is it a regular part of the urban areas, but across the entire state as well.

However, though this is the case, Kentucky still does not have a state-wide cell phone number directory. Nor do the cities of Louisville, Lexington, or Owensboro have their own city-wide cell phone number directories.

For this reason many sites, including reputable ones such as www.SearchThisPhoneNumber.com have been developed to allow people to search or reverse search for people’s cell phone numbers online. Such sites are built with reasonable databases that will allow for the greatest searching success for cell phone numbers.

The main reason people choose prepaid cell phones is not to save money, but to avoid or get rid of an offensive contract agreement. Wireless contracts seem to have been written in the dark ages, and here are some things you need to know about them.

Your wireless contract is about way more than just agreeing to keep the service for a specific amount of time. If you read the fine print you’ll be appalled at some of the terms you are asked to agree to.

No Service? Too Bad.

First of all, there’s the obvious issue of not being able to try the service on before you commit. If your vendor doesn’t work in your neighborhood, too bad; you’ve singed the contract and there’s no backing out for lack of service.

Understand this is NOT uncommon with contract wireless services who rely only on specific tower networks. Prepaid cell phones, on the other hand, will normally work through any tower network that is nearby.

Of course this benefit doesn’t stand when you buy a prepaid plan from a contract vendor. True prepaid cell phone services operate as stand-alone entities, apart from their contract-based competitors.

Instant Contract Renewal Without Your Consent

Once you’re plugged into a contract with a wireless company, don’t plan on simply getting out of it when the time is up. Often, your contract will auto renew unless you specifically cancel it, and many companies will only allow you to cancel on the very last day of the contract term!

You should also know that any time you buy a car charger, extra handset, or calling plan upgrade the sales rep can (and usually does) extend your contract without even telling you about it. This is all fair play according to the contract you signed but probably didn’t read in the beginning.

Contracts You Signed Can Be Changed At Any Time

Perhaps the most outrageous part of wireless contract plans is the fact that the company without your knowledge or consent can change them at any time. Your signature binds you to any changes the company wants to make in the future, including clauses to make it harder for you to get out from under your agreement!

It’s actually shocking that such blatant manipulation and bullying of the consumer is even legal. And frankly it’s little wonder that over 60% of all global wireless users opt for prepaid cell phone service.

Putting Your Foot Down And Ending The Contract Nightmare

Of course the best way to avoid these insane contracts is not to sign them. You should choose a prepaid cell phone plan instead of using a major contract provider.

But if you’ve already been sucked into an unfair contract, what can you do to get out?

You’ll be forced to pay a fee that ranges from $150 to $1,500 if you choose to breech your contract. You could of course hire a lawyer to find a loophole, but you won’t save any money going that route.

Honestly, paying the breech fee is nothing compared to the money you could lose if you stay with your contract provider. So just sucking it up and shelling out is one way to get clear.

Also, be aware that you can’t be forced to pay this fee. So you could simply terminate your account and refuse to pay the breech fee.

Your contract provider will of course report this to credit companies. But no collection team will come to your home demanding the money.

And it’s easy to get a credit counselor to help you dispute an item on your credit report. You’d be surprised what you can get removed with a little persistence.

This advice may not be “white hat” to a lot of people, but how forthright and righteous are these ludicrous contract arrangements we’ve been talking about? The bottom line is: you need to do what’s necessary to stand up for yourself and refuse to be pushed around by these insensitive, money-hungry contract wireless providers.

With the development of electronic technology, it seems to the public tend to select a multi-function cell phone instead of buying a monotonous function mobile phone which can only receive or send calls and messages.

Why should we are willing to select a multi-function mobile phone? Why should the multi-purpose phone be so attractive? The charming factors will give people a good answer.

1. Why do we refuse the previous cell phones?

Unlike multi-function cell phone’s multiple exquisite designs, the design of old generation is simple and common. It seems to everybody using the same one.

Besides, all the old phones come with only simple functions. People can just use it to receive and send calls and messages.

So, the old generation does not satisfy the personality of an individual and the multiple requirements.

2. Why are we falling in love with multi-function cell phone?

First and foremost, everything is improving. People do not like to be complacent. The monotonous function does not satisfy the high requirements of the public any more.

The public are interested in a mobile phone which can include many super functions. While people do not use phone, it can also be used to do something else, such as time killer, digital camera or camcorder or audio player etc.

“Wherever I go, it is difficult for me to carry a camera or camcorder every time. However, I always remember to bring my cell phone with multi-function. In this case, if I encounter a beautiful sight, I can record them with my phone, how convenient and excited it is!” said Katelyn, the product editor of ePathChina.

Secondly, it is fresh fashion, especially for young people. Considering a single function phone is out of the date, young people often compare cell phones by a standard of multi-function. The more function a cell phone come with and the more superior it is, the more popular the owner is.

Thirdly, most people are commuters who usually need to take a bus go to work and go back home. So, naturally, multi-function cell phone is used as a time killer.

While staying in the crowed bus, people can use multi-purpose phone to enjoy beautiful music, wonderful movies and exciting games. Not only it can kill time, but also can reduce the fatigue of work.

Fourthly, the design of the multi-function phones is colorful and exquisite. No matter which color a person like, people can find a favorite one. Its design is also very charming. It comes with several fascinating types: straight phone, slider phone, clamshell phone, and rotary phone.

In addition, it comes with other unexpected function cellular phone like watch mobile phone, PDA smartphone, TV mobile phone etc. which can meet different requirements of the users.

Owning a multi-function mobile phone, except for calls and messages, people can use it to take photo and record nice memory, kill time and enjoy music etc, which can meet people’s unsatisfactory demands.

It is the reason that more and more people are willing to buy a multi-purpose mobile phone.

As the largest China electronic wholesaler, epathchina.com (www.epathchina.com) releases a variety of multi-function cell phones for selecting which can meet multiple demands of different users.

No matter which function and design people are interested in, people can find a preferred one on www.epathchina.com with a compatible price and a first-class service.
The invention like cell phone has absolutely resulted in a rebellion in communication as well has laid down a base for constant innovations. Those days have passed away where huge and heavy phones were placed in a place where no one could notice them. But as time passed by, many or numerous firms have become a part of this latest mania which aims at making an attractive phone and are filled with the newest features. Nowadays cell phones are purchased for necessity and not as luxury item.

The reviews of the cell phone could assist any purchaser in numerous ways whilst purchasing a cell phone from among the other models that are present in market. Internet is considered to be a genuine basis of information; it is also helpful for those people who are trying to find out some information regarding cell phone could easily refer to the technology reviews on the net. By this the purchaser would know about the expert cell phone reviewer’s opinion who have already used the cell phone as well help would advise you as what you have to look into a handset. Along with these the reviews of those customers who have already used that model are given and all these will help you to make a right decision. What are the factors that should be taken into account while buying, relying on the cell phone reviews?

Handset’s features – The mobile phones are actually electronic devices. The purchaser must enquire the information relating to the following whilst going through the online reviews –

The first would be to check the phone’s accessories.

The second factor to be enquired is how long does the phone battery last. As mobile phones are designed for mobility, so how long the battery last is considered to be the main factor that should be checked. Not all the mobile phones have similar batteries; they may vary because they are made by different manufacturers and are of different models.

Then next would be verifying the Bluetooth connectivity.

The fifth is to check the clarity of the camera. Now clarity of the camera also varies. This depends totally on the price that you are ready to pay to buy a phone. For instance, if your budget for buying a cell phone is high then you would get the best clarity of camera and if less budget then the camera clarity won’t be not much as compared to the former one.

The sixth feature is to check the size and the weight of the phone. A mobile phone which is light weighted and is neither all that big nor small and lies some where in between then it would be surely considered as an investment.

And other features.

The most essential point is that apart from the cell phone tariff choices and features are chosen after reading these reviews as in you can make use of these reviews for your advantage. While going through these technological reviews, a buyer could decide as to which model could be suitable or match to his desire, budget, needs and preferences.

With the new cell phone plan cropping up each weekend is really hard to choose the right cell phone plan for you. It cell phone plan has its own pros and cons. Some of them will give you unlimited talk time when some will give unlimited messaging. In this comparison, we look to bring you the best cell phone plan suited for general public and at an affordable cost of below $50. The following plans have been listed alphabetically and not in any order of preference. They are the best under $50 plans we could find.

Alltel National Freedom: it costs $49.99 and gave 750 minutes of free talk time. Alltel has support for free in network calling and free nights and weekends. Cost of SMS is $.15 and overage minutes at $.40 too. There is the option of my circle-which is the ability to add 5 friends. The packaged minutes are also quite cheap at $.67.

Recommended for people who want a little more packaged talk time and overage minutes at a decent price.

AT and T nation 450: this one is cheaper at $39.99 but this only 450 minutes of talk time. They also support unlimited in network calling but is restricted to 5000 free minutes in weekend and night calls. Cost of SMS and overage minutes at same as Alltel. But the cost per packaged minute is up to $.89. Thankfully they have the option to roll over talk time from one month to other which makes it a very good connection for people who does not make too much calls.

Recommended for people who prefer cheaper connections and option to roll over the minutes saved from one month to the other.

Sprint Everything Messaging: as the name says, this one is dedicated to those who spend most of their time messaging. Coming at a cost of $49.99 and with 450 minutes of talk time, the cost per minute is same as AT and T. But the extra $10 that the charge are well worth, as you get free unlimited SMS. The overage minutes cost a little more at $.45 but then this is not a plan for callers but those who use a lot of SMS. Also they provide free in network calling in the unlimited night and weekend calls. And mind you, in this plan night starts at 7 PM. So you have a great plann your hand if you can limit your calling needs in the daytime.

Recommended for people who do a lot of messaging and don’t have too much calls to make during the daytime.

T-mobile myFaves 600: if you only have the small group of people who you call to then this is a very good plan. If you like checking with your sweetheart all day long, all you need to do is buy two of these connections and then you can talk as long as you want without paying any extra charges. It comes at a cost of $49.99 with 600 packaged minutes and SMS and overage minutes at $.20 and $.40 respectively. Sadly there is no free in network calling but the unlimited night and weekend is still very much there.

Recommended for people who call only a few group of people most of the times. Perfect for those in romance.

Verizon Nationwide Basic: this plan comes at $39.99 with 450 minutes of prepackaged talk time. SMS cost is $.20 and overage minutes cost $.45. But the good thing with this cheap plan is that you get both free in network calling and free unlimited weekend and night calling at a very affordable price. If you need to call to other networks at night-time, then this is the best plan for you. If

Recommended for people who prefer cheap connections and make most calls at night or in the same network.

In today’s world, cell phones are more of a need than a want. Information is flowing faster than ever in earth’s history. So how do you pick the right phone and the right plan that fits your needs?

Family Plans – this is a very good plan for large families who are trying to jump to the cell phone bandwagon. The family can share a pool of minutes and this will be efficient rather than letting those minutes go to waste.

<br />
Downside is that it could be bad if you have one family member who tends to eat up the plan minutes.

So the best solution for this kind of situation is a pre-paid plan. The idea is you buy a specific amount of time first and then you consume it as you use your phone more and more. This is good because you can control your spending. This is more preferable rather than seeing a huge cell phone bill at the end of the month.

If you are planning to use the phone by your own. Then you should ask yourself how are you planning to use the phone? If your just using it for emergencies or not that often. Then pre-paid plan would be sufficient. If you’re planning to use your cell phone often, then its better to use cheapest plan available. The reason is that you’re buying cell phone minutes in bulk which means that you’re getting it cheaper. Just monitor your time consumption to avoid future headaches.

Also you would also like to compare the plans and their options. Do you need roaming, text messaging and other perks that might companies offer you. Shop to get around to get the best deal. Just use your common sense. Don’t apply for plans that have additional cost on their options and your not planning to use them or practically have no use for you. Your just throwing money down the drain.

By following those simple advice you may get some ideas on how to pick the right cell phone plan for you.

Sorry that the quality sucks, but my cell phone isn’t the best thing to take video with. Compare this to my Baby’s First Steps video, or the Mad Love video, and see that I do use better stuff.
Help answer the question about compare cell phones
Sprint Cell Phones: Compare Samsung Rant with LG Rumor2?
Trying to decide which phone is best for me.
Shopping around for a new wireless phone plan and confused by all of the choices available? Well, you’re not alone. Choosing a cellular phone plan has become a daunting task due to the fact that there are not only a million choices, but cell phone carriers are making it more difficult with tricky and confusing plan restrictions.

In this article, I’m going to go over some really easy steps that you can follow to compare wireless phone plans so that you make the best choice possible. Hopefully by the time you’re done reading this, you’ll be armed with the knowledge necessary to run out and stick it to the man!

The first thing that you need to look at when comparing cell phone plans is the coverage area provided by the carrier. If you’re going to be traveling outside your immediate area on business for instance, you need a phone plan that has adequate coverage nationwide. If you’re only going to be using the phone inside of your local town or city, then make note of this and see if there are cheaper alternatives with scaled down coverage maps to save yourself some money.

The second thing that you need to take into consideration are the minutes alloted in a plan and what happens when you run over those included minutes. If this is your first cell phone, you’re most likely going to use way more minutes than you estimate so keep this in mind when making a choice.

The third factor that you need to consider when trying to compare wireless phone plans is length of contract. Most cellular carriers lock their customers into 2 or 3 year contracts and breaking a contract can cost hundreds of dollars in penalties. This is definitely something to be aware of when you’re shopping around for a new phone.

I hope that this article has given you some good guidelines to follow as you’re trying to make the best choice on your next cell phone purchase. I wish you the best and remember to shop around before making a commitment!
